Sean Hyunil Sohn, CEO of Krafton India, verified the news and praised the Indian government and the gaming industry for their assistance.
“We would like to extend our gratitude to our Indian gaming community for their support and patience over the past few months. We are excited to announce that Battlegrounds Mobile India will be available for download soon, and we cannot wait to welcome you back to our platform,” Sohn said.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar, The Union Minister of State for Entrepreneurship, Skill Development, Electronics and Technology, tweeted and confirmed that the game will be closely monitored for three months before the Indian authorities make a final decision on permanently lifting the ban or imposing a permanent ban.
According to Krafton India’s CEO, the firm is devoted to providing great goods and services to people in India and beyond. Furthermore, Krafton is claimed to be highly invested in the Indian gaming environment. “Our approach has always been India-first, which serves as the foundation of all our efforts. We believe in investing in the Indian gaming industry and contributing to building a vibrant ecosystem that fosters growth and innovation,” Sohn further added.
BGMI Servers are being upgraded.
BGMI servers were being upgraded shortly after the company announced its return and stated that gamers would be able to download the game soon. Krafton is now prompting players who access the game about servers.
“Hello BGMI Fan!!!!” it says. BGMI servers will be unavailable for a short period of time in order to create a better and larger experience. While we try to provide you with a smooth experience, your account will be protected and your progress will be saved. We will keep you updated on progress and the release date via our social media platforms.” The server update appears to be forthcoming, since Krafton may anticipate a large number of people downloading and playing the game as soon as BGMI is ready for download.
Vibhor Kukreti, Head of Government Affairs, Krafton India, said that the company, by the law and has put in place several measures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. In a statement, Kukreti said that the company strongly encourage its users to prioritise their well-being and follow responsible gaming practices. “We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for our players and believe that by promoting responsible gaming, we can contribute to a healthier gaming culture, where players can enjoy themselves while still taking care of their overall well-being,” Kukreti said.
Krafton is expected to make some in-game adjustments before restarting operations in India. To begin, there will be an in-game timer that will notify a player about their gaming sessions. Furthermore, the game is unlikely to depict blood or alter the default tint from red to anything else. Previously, the colour of blood within the game was red, and users had the option to change it to green or blue.
Krafton is going to announce BGMI’s India release date soon.
