There have been a lot of leaks and rumors regarding the iPhone 16 series surfacing online for a while. It is anticipated that Apple’s next-generation flagship smartphones will launch in September of this year. Previous rumors suggested that the iPhone 16 models would have a separate Capture button. In the most recent development, information regarding the Capture button has been disclosed by Weibo user Instant Digital, who has a mixed history.
iPhone 16 may Take notes from DSLR Notebook
The iPhone 16’s Capture button, as reported by Instant Digital, will be able to identify various pressure levels. The two-step buttons on digital cameras are similar to this. Its main objective will be to start a video or picture capture. However, the user will be able to lock and modify focus with a light or halfway press. Compared to tapping the screen to lock focus on the subject and prevent hazy photos, this would be far more convenient. According to a recent allegation, the Capture button may potentially include zoom-in and out capabilities.
Two-stage shutter buttons already exist on some Sony Xperia phones. Users may snap pictures swiftly using the dedicated Capture button. On the iPhone 15 Pro smartphone, the Action button can only be configured to open the camera app. The Weibo user also mentioned that Apple’s decision of feauring a Capture button on the iPhone 16 clearly suggest about the company’s intention to prioritize photography features in its next-generation products. These kind of feature in the smartphone might prove to be a useful for professional photographers and videographers.
If the Capture button is added to all iPhone 16 models is still speculation. Early iPhone 16 Pro renders showed off the bottom right-hand dedicated button.
