Carl Pei teases new Nothing Phone
Nothing CEO Carl Pei teases the launch of a new smartphone in a post on X/twitter along with a photograph of what looks to be a cutout of a dragon from a famous cartoon series.
A TDRA certification leak suggests that the company has a Nothing Phone 2a smartphone in the making, just hours after Nothing CEO Carl Pei teased a new Nothing smartphone in the works.
We’ve been hearing rumors about a Nothing Phone 2a smartphone for some time now, but there have also been speculations regarding a Nothing Phone 3. So when Pei released a teaser, we couldn’t tell if he was referring to the Phone 2a or Phone 3. However, the recent certification leak lends a lot more weight to the Phone 2a smartphone, which is expected to hit the market shortly.
However, we believe that Nothing will introduce its fresh new smartphone, the Nothing Phone (3), in 2024. However, rumors say that the company may be introducing two phones, the Nothing Phone (2a) along the Nothing Phone (3).
Nothing Phone rumors
The Nothing Phone (2a) will be cheaper as compared to the company’s flagship handsets. It is suspected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor and the base variant price will be 400 Euros, making it far cheaper than the Nothing Phone (2).
We’ve heard rumors that the Nothing Phone (2a) will be the first to go on sale and that the phone will be launched at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2024) on 27th Feb. In this case, we’ll have to wait a little more than a month, as MWC 2024 is presently set for the end of February.
