Those people who absolutely hate Huawei will be unhappy to find that this chinese corporation has had another success following the launch of the popular Mate 60 Pro, whose sales were skyrocketed in its native market. A research firm also claimed that within 16 weeks Huawei sold 16 lakh, Mate 60 Pro.

Huawei Kirin is now one of the top five worldwide chipmakers after years of being blacklisted by the US government and issues (sources Gizmochina).

According to a third quarter Q3 report of 2023 report by Counterpoint Research, chip maker Hisilicon (fully owned by Huawei) at present holds fifth place with a 3% share of the chipset market worldwide. Certainly, this is on the 2023 Mate 60 series, which included the 5G capable Huawei Kirin 9000s chip and sold like crazy.

More gadgets which are powered by Huawei Kirin Chips such as MatePad Pro 13.2 tablet and Mate X5 foldable phone have also received positive feedback from users in China. The same positive momentum is expected to continue in the next year as well paving the way for the mid-range Nova 12 series, which will also most likely feature Huawei Kirin processors.

  1. Qualcomm: Qualcomm maintained its first postiton with 40% market share, owing primarily to the adoption of its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset in premium Chinese flagships.
  2. Apple: Apple came in at second place with a 31% market share, backed by the iPhone 15 series.
  3. MediaTek: MediaTek is third, with a 15% market share.
  4. Samsung: Samsung is fourth with a 7% market share.
  5. Huawei: Huawei’s comes in at 5th position with a 3% market share.
  6. Unisoc: Unisoc comes in at sixth position with a 2% market share
  7. Google: Google’s Tensor SoC has also secured a decent 1% market share while ranking seventh on the list.
