Motorola’s Foldable phone design with Two Extendable Screens leaked
Motorola surprised everyone a few months ago when it unveiled the revolutionary shape-shifting phone concept. Prior to that the company also revealed Motorola’s concept of rollable smartphone at MWC Lenevo.
According to a recent report, Motorola is working on an innovative concept that could enable smartphones to be both wide and compact due to foldable feature. The Website Rating and David from @xleaks7, who saw the patent and the concept that the company is working on, have reported this.
Motorola’s Foldable Patent Drawing Design
This upcoming phone concept could be named as Motorola Rizr Dual, according to the report. When this smartphone is unfolded, its display can expand nearly four times more than when it is compactly folded, resulting in a foldable smartphone.
The dual device housing assembly with translating blade assemblies and flexible screens is the main component of this revolutionary technology. It is reported that it will include a controller that, when the device is unfolded, uses sensors to track its location. Two-blade assemblies are extended using an active translated mechanism.
According to the patent file, these blades can extend the display by emerging from the opposite side of the adjacent side of the hinge.
In terms of release, the Motorola Rizr Dual may be released during this year’s MWC. Its availability is still unknown because rollable smartphones are still in development and haven’t been released by any company.
