According to Reports Xiaomi may be working on another addition to the Xiaomi 14 series, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, but even the global launch of the Xiaomi 14 series remains in doubt. The phone made news lately when a few hands-on photos of it leaked online.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s leaked features
According to a recent GSMChina report, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra may have an under-display camera. It seems as though the phone will be available in two variants: one with this under-display camera and another with a typical selfie camera.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s Nickname
The codenames “aurora” and “aurorapro” are assigned to the variant using a typical camera. The under-display camera model is given the codename “Xiaomi Suiren”. Interestingly, a gadget with this moniker recently surfaced on the Geekbench database featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU.
Other leaks
Although new sources suggest it’s the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, we initially believed the gadget was the upcoming Xiaomi Mix 5. In the single-core and multi-core tests the phone got 2336 and 6837 points, respectively.
Similarly, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is expected to include a variable aperture 50MP primary camera (Sony LYT 900 with OIS), as per earlier rumors from tipster Digital Chat Station. A 50MP telephoto lens, a further 50MP periscope lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens are anticipated to round out the set in addition to the primary sensor.
Additionally, the leaked information also suggests a frame upgrade to a titanium body instead of the aluminum body that is used in the standard 14 Xiaomi Pro.
The phone might feature Two-way satellite communication as per the rumors, and the phone could have a 5180mAh battery that supports 50W wireless and 90W wired charging.
Expected launch date
In April 2024, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is supposed to make its public appearance along with the Xiaomi Pad 7 series.
